Overview
This project will build a Pivoting blade vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) and evaluate its performance.
Phase 1
Build a prototype based on the Proof on Concept Video
Phase 2
Establish rating for the prototype using standard commercial norms
Phase 3
Explore increasing efficiency by controlling pivot range of blades
Phase 4
Explore increasing power output by reducing spin rate at peak efficiency
